So, as you all should know, our beloved Mother aka Mama Monster had her PADI Refresher Course a few months ago. Since then, she had been busy and didn’t go scuba diving with us. With the pandemic still on going, we decided to bring her with us. Went to one of our favorite and go to site called “Car Wrecks” and made two dives around the area.

PADI Refresher Course for Mama Monster

Mama Monster did her refresher about 10 months ago at a beach resort in Dauin. We also brought my bother Khell for a Discover Scuba Course. If you haven’t been diving in a long time, it is best to get a refresher course to go over the skills and the basic rules and steps of scuba diving. Even if you are super confident underwater, you might miss the tiniest matters which could be a big problem. Thankfully our dear mother did her refresher with flying colors!

Getting wet again 💦

While everyone else is in high alert and strict quarantine, we decided to go scuba diving. There is absolutely nothing illegal there. In fact, scuba diving and other outdoor sports are allowed my law in Negros Oriental. So, hooray for us! We booked our transportation and booked our tanks and extra equipment for the diving trip.

Scuba Divers - Dive Monster Transportation

This was our driver Kuya Ronnie, who happens to be a technician as well!

We drove from Dumaguete City to Dauin in less than an hour. Our tanks from Apo Scuba Diving arrived a few minutes after we got there. Then off to our first dive!

Scuba Diving in Dauin - Mama Monster

The first few minutes of the dive was a bit tricky. Dive Monster Senior had to help fine tune the buoyancy. Equalizing was a bit tricky as well in the first few meters of our descend. But after the first 10 meters in 20 minutes, we all enjoyed going down 28 meters into the car wrecks. The dive ended with great video and photos, happy bubbles and of course big smiles. We also did a little underwater clean up.
